What you need

Step by step self-study

  • 1 – Hold your eyelash curler. Once your curling iron is completely open, make sure you get the rubber strip down to the root of your upper eyelashes.
  • 2 – Now that your eyelashes are inside, place the curling iron upright (the curve should point out). Gently close the curling iron on your eyelashes and gently squeeze with a pulsating grip.
  • 3 – Turn your curling iron up slowly – the curve should be in line with the curvature of your eyelid fold.
  • 4 – Do not blink or move – hold the curling iron in place for a few seconds.
  • 5 – Gently press your curling iron with the same pressure and move it from the roots of your eyelashes to the point.
  • 6 – If you are not satisfied with the curl, you can repeat this step until you have achieved the desired result.

Tips: how to maintain your eyelashes and curl them without damaging them

Whether you want to curl your eyelashes safely or grow healthier, nicer eyelashes, here are some tips to help you!

  • Washing your face before bedtime is important, but it doesn’t stop there. Make sure you take off every last bit of your makeup (even that almost-impossible-to-remove waterproof mascara). If you sleep with traces of mascara or eyeliner on it, chances are you’ll get an infection and your eyelashes will probably become dry and brittle. This will make them fall, and you’ll blame that expensive mascara, but it’s all up to you.
  • You can use micellair water or coconut oil to remove your eye makeup. Oils are a healthy alternative and leave your eyelashes Fed and hydrated.
  • Just as you take care of the precious hair on your head, it’s important to do the same for your eyelashes. Use a conditioner or an eyelash serum before going to bed – you will wake up with healthier, longer eyelashes if you follow this routine consistently.
  • When you use an eyelash curler, you have to be careful. Always use a clean Eyelash Curler-old makeup builds up and hangs on your curling iron. This needs to be cleaned because it is a breeding ground for bacteria. Also remember to squeeze or pull too hard, because your eyelashes tend to lose elasticity and become brittle.
  • It’s important to give your eyelashes a break once in a while, and believe me, your eyelashes will be grateful for it. You have no idea how many dyes and chemicals make your mascara, and these can hinder the natural growth of your eyelashes.
  • Make sure you replace your mascara every three months, because not only does the formula become lumpy and dry, but your mascara braces are also a breeding ground for bacteria and there is a high risk of an eye infection.
  • Finally, and most importantly, follow a healthy diet. Eat foods rich in vitamins, which promote the healthy growth of your eyelashes.
